I had never heard of coloring books for adults until someone told me about them. Of the offerings on Amazon, I decided to buy this one and a set of colored pencils for my sister who has been feeling under the weather. She is really enjoying it. It takes some thought before you decide what color and shading to use and I think that it has brightened her days while she recovers from her illness.
This is a smaller coloring book, not spiral-bound, and though there's a good variety of pictures to color, there's not much range. By that I mean, mostly either simple with large blocks of color or complicated with lots of tiny bits. I would like more in between or more that combine the two types. Overall, it's a decent coloring book, just not one of my favorites.
I ordered this for a friend who is 21 years old and very much into sea life. She loves it! She has colored it and used it as a basis for her own original pictures. Excellent.
We bought an assortment of coloring books and gifted them along with pencils and markers to all who came over to the house for Christmas as kind of a theme. Everyone seemed to like them and I've enjoyed coloring a bit in the one we kept for ourselves.
My granddaughter loves art. All types. We've used crayons, markers, paint pens & water color pencils in this particular book. The pages are lovely. One of our favorite things to do together!
I only just heard about coloring books for adults. I like to doodle and spend quite a bit of time sitting outside in the summer so I thought this would be perfect. I can see this turning into a full fledge addiction!! I was a little worried that some of the pictures are quite detailed but got over that after I started and discovered i'm in no hurry and can take all the time I need. I use colored pencils which works nicely for the small details. I will be ordering more in the future!
I liked how this did not have super tiny designs but the pictures are still detailed enough to be interesting and fun to color.
I'm an artist but I love doing coloring to relax and just play! Coloring can be very meditative and it's a good way to pass time. This book has some great pictures to color. The beauty is that anyone can do it! You don't have to be an artist.
